“SILVER RATIO”
白銀比率が織りなすもの

何度折っても比率が一定である白銀比率を、折り返しながら使用されるハンカチに見出すことで、折っても折っても比率が一定な白銀比ハンカチを考案。このハンカチでは4面の比率ごとに異なるカラーパターンとすることで、ガイドになり折りやすさ、またどの面を使用したか視認しやすさを狙った。製法としては織を想定、縦と横の糸を切り替えることで異なるカラーを作り出す。

Product design of siver ratio

I discovered the similarities between the silver ratio and the handkerchief and devised an object that has a constant ratio no matter how many times it is folded. By dividing the handkerchief into four different color patterns on each side, I produced an object that uses color as a guide thus making it easy to fold. As expected of cloth, we hope to manufacture our product through the weaving of warp and weft threads to produce different colors. Eventually, we will collaborate with natural fiber manufacturing regions in Japan in order to add value to our products.
