By adopting the arch structure used in bridge constructions and reducing the thickness of the board to just 6 mm and its weight to 4 kg, we have succeeded in reducing the overall weight by as much as 7 kg compared to ordinary 6-tier shelves. The straight-grained wood of Japanese cypress gives this finely crafted shelf a very delicate look and feel.
